Ray Alderman Sr.
Began his career with Bowman Dairy, Chicago, IL, delivering via a horse and wagon in the early 1900’s. In 1938, he became the General Manager of Spinney Run Farms in Libertyville, IL, eventually becoming President and part owner.
Ray Alderman Jr.
Began his career at Spinney Run Farms in 1950. He started as a home delivery driver. He served Spinney Run Farms in many different roles until he became Vice-President in 1968.
Ray Alderman III
Introduced to the family business in 1975, unloading trucks and helping on routes.
Ray Alderman IV
Having been around the business from a very early age, “Grant” joined the Company in a full time capacity in the summer of 2016.
Ray Alderman & Sons Inc. is born
In 1979, Spinney Run Farms was sold to a competitor. Ray SR. retired from the business. In 1985, Ray JR. purchased a truck and route that was available in Kenosha, WI, from Dean Foods. Ray Alderman & Sons, Inc. was born from this single truck and 32 accounts.
Today, with Ray Alderman III as President, Ray Alderman & Sons, Inc. is one of the largest independent distributors within Dean Foods organization, and the largest in Wisconsin. We are presently servicing over 1,000 customers in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, operating a distribution fleet of 30 vehicles. Based in Union Grove, WI, our current facility became home to Ray Alderman & Sons, Inc. in 1993. The facility has gone through 4 expansion projects, with plans for future expansion as well.
The growth and continued success of Ray Alderman & Sons, Inc. is a direct result of the founding principles set forth by Ray Alderman Sr. and Ray Alderman Jr. Ray Alderman & Sons, Inc. is continuously striving to improve and strengthen our operations to enable us to exceed the expectations of our customers.
Our Full Service Model
Let Ray Alderman & Sons, Inc. remove the hassle of managing your dairy case so you can focus on what you do best, running your business! Using our proprietary route software, Delivery Manager, your complete order is filled at the time of delivery. Upon arrival on your predetermined day of service, your Route Sales Representative will provide the following service:
1. Perform Complete Inventory
Performing a complete inventory of your dairy case is the first step. From there, a Route Sales Representative enters the necessary items into the Delivery Manager program.
2. Remove dated merchandise
Removing any outdated or damaged inventory form your dairy case is the next step for our Sales Representatives.
3. Consult with Owner/Manager
Next, a Route Sales Representative will consult with the location owner or manager regarding additional needs or requests.
4. Stock Dairy Case
After filling your order and completing the check in process, your Route Sales Representative will completely stock your dairy case and rotate any back stock to ensure a first in/first out sales cycle.
5. Removal
Lastly, the Route Representative will remove all empty cases from your location.
